Mistakes When Buying A Bidet Toilet Seat

Purchasing a bidet toilet seat should be an exciting time, but there are a few things that can put a damper on your experience. Follow this guide to make sure you avoid the most common (and frustrating) buying errors and help the experience go smoothly. One of the most important first steps is to make sure that you have the right size in mind for your bidet toilet seat. If you decide to go with a non-electric attachment, this step won’t matter, but electronic bidet seats will need to be the correct shape for best results.
Toilets come in two different sizes - round or elongated. If you have a round size toilet you should purchase a round size bidet seat. And if you have an elongated size toilet you should purchase an elongated size bidet seat. Elongated bidet seats are going to be the longer of the two, with the round toilet shape being a bit shorter. If a visual is not enough to confirm, measure your toilet. You should measure from the mounting holes (the two holes which secure the toilet seat to the porcelain) to the very front outside edge of the toilet. Elongated toilets will measure 17.5 inches or more while round size toilets will be 17 inches or less.
